Community Outreach Coordinator

Second Life Chattanooga is an organization that strives to end human trafficking through Prevention, Policy, and Survivor Services. Our Community Outreach Coordinator will focus his or her efforts on Prevention and Survivor Services by helping the community to learn the truth about human trafficking, how it effects every community, how they can get involved, and how Second Life Chattanooga is working to end modern day slavery. An integral part of informing the community of the work of Second Life Chattanooga will be through social media, website maintenance, and sending out the monthly newsletter. While working on behalf of Survivor Services, the Community Outreach Coordinator will network with community providers to assist them in developing appropriate partnerships to ensure well-trained, trauma-informed partners are serving our survivors. Attending community events and planning fundraising events for Second Life Chattanooga will also be a large part of this position’s duties throughout the year. Travel will be involved as Second Life Chattanooga is the single point of contact for a 25 county footprint across Lower East Tennessee. A company vehicle will be provided for use during these networking events across the region.

This position requires someone with great initiative who can work independently who has a great attention for detail and experience with various computer programs and social media platforms. Someone with great people skills and a desire to share of this important cause is a must.

Degrees preferred: BA in Non-Profit Management, Community Development, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.

Case Manager

Second Life Chattanooga is an organization that strives to end human trafficking through Prevention, Policy, and Survivor Services. Our Survivor Services team is looking for a case manager to work directly with survivors of human trafficking. This position will require travel to several counties and will be responsible for scheduling and transporting clients to various appointments. The Case Manager may need to work nontraditional hours to meet the clients’ needs.

This position requires several years of case management experience and a vast knowledge of community resources for the southeast region of TN. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative and have great attention to detail. The Case Manager will spend several hours per week with each survivor empowering them, teaching them, and connecting them with community resources. This position will work closely with both the Director and Program Coordinator of Survivor Services, and will receive regular trainings pertaining to human trafficking, trauma, and self-care. A company vehicle will be provided for the Case Manager to utilize when working with survivors.

Degree Requirements: Masters in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field preferred; Bachelors in related field with experience considered.
